The Picture Mounts Photoshop program is a script which is executed from with inside Adobe Photoshop. The script is run by going to the Photoshop File Menu and then choosing Scripts – Picture Mounts.
What does Picture Mounts do?
The Picture Mounts program is designed to give you a visual representation of how your photograph will look when it has been mounted / matted and framed.
The program allows you visualise the photograph when it has been mounted optically centered. The optically centered print is considered to be placed slightly above the center. This may be more visually pleasing, because of an illusion in which a vertically centered print appears to “sink” a little on the mount.
The calculated mount window cutting sizes can be saved to a folder on your desktop for later reference. There is also an option to choose your own mount colour which can be useful for pre-visualisation with your own mount colours.
The Picture Mounts program can be used on both Windows and Mac operating systems, both of which must be running Adobe Photoshop CS6 and above.
